Anna Lepora

CHEMIST

A founding partner of PLANETA, Anna’s Chemistry Degree (Università di Torino, 1997) was followed by a research fellowship contract concerning bio-monitoring of road traffic contaminants and then by a PhD in Technical Minerology (Fribourg University, Switzerland, 2002). She worked as an Environmental Consultant in an international engineering society until 2008, when PLANETA was started.

Her competence and professional experience range from environmental characterization of contaminated sites to assessment of environmental liabilities of real estate, from consultancy in controversies about responsibility for past contamination to remediation design, from special waste management to decommissioning activities / industrial sites reconversion design.

Gabriella Pogliano

Geologist

A founding partner of PLANETA, Gabriella is a Member of Piemonte Geologists’ professional body. From 2003 to 2008, the founding year of PLANETA Studio, she worked as a Consultant in an environmental engineering society operating at an international level. Initially, she managed mostly geology-related projects. Later on, she developed a wide experience in characterization and remediation design for contaminated sites. She is an expert in the characterization of contaminated sites, including health/environmental Risk Analysis, as well as in soil and groundwater remediation design.

Gabriella Pogliano

Geologist

A founding partner of PLANETA, Gabriella is a Member of Piemonte Geologists’ professional body. From 2003 to 2008, the founding year of PLANETA Studio, she worked as a Consultant in an environmental engineering society operating at an international level. Initially, she managed mostly geology-related projects. Later on, she developed a wide experience in characterization and remediation design for contaminated sites. She is an expert in the characterization of contaminated sites, including health/environmental Risk Analysis, as well as in soil and groundwater remediation design.

Cesare Rampi

Industrial Chemist

A founding partner of PLANETA, Cesare is an Industrial Chemist and he is a member of Piemonte and Valle d’Aosta Chemists’ professional body. Since 1996 he worked as an environmental remediation designer developing a wide experience in coordination of remediation projects in industrial sites (brownfields) and environmental rehabilitation of contaminated areas. In this sector, he was involved also in designing environmental remediation projects related to areas within Sites of National Interest (including former Steel Mill Falck in Sesto San Giovanni, Syndial area in Gela, ex Carbochimica area in Fidenza, ex Fibronit industrial site in Broni, ex Liquichimica area in Tito Scalo).

From 1997 to 2018 he has conducted design activities, supervision of works and monitoring of redevelopment in large industrial sites located in the main urban renewal areas in the city of Turin. He is a Full Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA – UK). He possesses a license for coordination of asbestos remediation and removal activities in Piedmont (according to D.P.R. 08/08/1994).

Engineer

Engineer graduated at the Polytechnic University of Turin, year 2000, in Environmental and Land Engineering, specializing in Geotechnologies. He is member of the Order of Engineers of the Province of Turin since May 2000, he is a professional project manager under Law 4/2013, certified by the Project Management Institute. Eng. Castiglia has more than 20 years of experience in providing consulting and design services applied to contaminated site remediation, waste landfills, management of hydrogeological risks and open pit and underground mining. As a design engineer and project manager, he has participated in multidisciplinary and complex projects in Europe and the Middle East with total value of professional services over 4M euros.

PLANETA’s team

Marco Manfron

After achieving High School Diploma, Marco trained in 2D and 3D drawing softwares. He started working in visual communication and in publishing sectors. Later on, he attended further training for the technical engineering sector, completing a course specialising in data analysis software for laser-scanner surveys. Since 2008, he has worked in PLANETA, with responsibility for the visual components of all Studio projects.

Michela Piaggio

Michela graduated in Geological Sciences and, since 2000, she has collaborated with several environmental engineering societies, developing in-depth knowledge and competence in the characterization of contaminated sites, supervision of works about redevelopment and renewal of dismantled industrial sites. She earned a professional licence for the role of Responsible of control and coordination of asbestos-containing materials maintenance. Since 2012, she has worked in PLANETA.

Giacomo F. Lampone

Giacomo graduated in Geological Sciences and he is a member of Piemonte geologists’ professional body. He has developed a wide-range of experience in geology and hydrogeology working in well-known engineering societies. He operates, throughout Italy and abroad, in infrastructure design, underground and hydrological works. Since 2017, he has worked in PLANETA.

Marco Marovino

Marco is an Electrical engineering technician. After a short university liberal arts experience, for many years he focused his professional career on environmental monitoring. Since 2015, he has worked in PLANETA, following sampling activities and general environmental matrices’ characterization. Marco is an enthusiastic spelunker, who believes in living surrounded by beauty and that, where it has been lost, the battle to regain it is an honourable one.

Fiona Healy

Fiona has worked in Environmental Management for almost 25 years, beginning in the United States in a Nuclear Power Plant after completing a PhD in Chemistry in England. She collaborated with DNV GL, the Certification Body from 1999, covering Lead Auditor roles in management system certification schemes for environment (ISO 14001), energy (ISO 50001) and quality (ISO 9001). She was part of DNV GL’s team of senior assessors from 2010 as Energy Efficiency Services Manager, taking the lead in environmental assessment projects for clients in a wide range of telecommunications, banking and Oil & Gas companies. These projects include Acquisition Due Diligence, Feasibility Studies, Impact assessments, Energy Efficiency Indicators. These projects were located in Brazil, Holland, England, Italy, France and Spain. As a trainer in environmental and energy management and assessment, she has worked for the Italian national oil company, ENI, in their Corporate University from 2011 to 2015 teaching O&G professionals from Italy, Iraq, Tunisia, Indonesia, Angola, Mozambique. She is currently engaged in environmental management of the Brennero tunnel expansion project between Italy and Austria, (among Europe’s largest civil engineering works) and in project management for the ESIA (Environmental & Social Impact Assessment) of construction of a major infrastructure in Uganda.

Natasa Lazovic

After graduation in Environmental Engineering in 1998, in Belgrade University, Natasa earned a PhD in health engineering at Turin Polytechnic. After a short experience in the UK in the petrochemical sector, from 1999 to 2000 she worked as contracted researcher in the Chemical Engineering Department of Belgrade University (new organo-metallic compounds synthesis), being involved also in teaching on the Inorganic and General Chemistry course. As lecturer, she taught training courses about Risk Analysis, characterization and remediation of contaminated sites requested by and for public agencies (ARPA Piemonte, ARPA Sicilia), universities (École Central de Lyon, Turin Polytechnic), professional associations (GEAM), post-graduate courses (Turin Polytechnic, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa) and private clients. With 18 years of international experience in the environmental engineering sector, she developed in-depth knowledge of groundwater flow and contaminants dynamics modelling and in health Risk Analysis. Since 2017, she works in PLANETA being involved in the development of conceptual model, Risk Analysis application, soil and groundwater remediation design, as well as groundwater flow, contaminants dynamics and temperature trends modelling

Michele Favaro

After the Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences obtained in 2012 at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, he started his professional experience as manager of social and environmental projects in Uganda, Sud Sudan and Nepal. Back in Italy in 2016, he worked for an important waste management company both as Site Manager of a landfill and Environmental Technician for a number of waste facilities of the Group. Since 2019 he has been working in PLANETA, operating in waste management consultancy projects and in the supervision of remediation plants.

Matteo Mazza

Matteo graduated in Environmental Engineering and since 2006. He is a member of Torino Province Engineers’ professional body. He is an expert on permitting regulations in the environmental sector, in particular providing consultancy regarding authorisation requests for waste treatment/final disposal plants and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessment, Integrated Environmental Authorization and Single Environmental Authorization (EIA/AIA/AUA) procedures. Since 2010, he has been a member of the regional certified acoustic technicians’ professional body. Since 2017, he has been working in PLANETA, operating in remediation design, environmental characterization investigations and general waste management consultancy.

Mattia Ciattaglia

Mattia graduated in Geological Sciences and since 2014 he has been a member of the Piemonte geologists’ professional body. In the same year he started the collaboration with PLANETA developing knowledge and competencies in environmental characterization and remediation of contaminated sites. In 2016, he obtained a professional technician licence for removal, remediation and final disposal of asbestos-containing waste.

Giulia Margarita

Giulia graduated in Chemistry and, since 2016, she is a member of Valle D’Aosta and Piemonte Chemists and Physicians professional body. She conducted research in Phytoremediation and pilot studies regarding remediation solutions for Cr(VI)-contaminated groundwater, through chemical reduction. Since 2017, she has collaborated with PLANETA, giving technical and logistical support for the characterization and remediation of contaminated sites.
